Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on the situations. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
